I forgot grits.
i'm a Southern lady, and quite proud of it.
grits is one of my favorite things. not sweet (that is just inedible). but with salt and butter.
shrimp and grits.
grits and eggs.
haitian yellow grits with sausage.

sorry, not meaning to be all comment hoe-ish. My grandma used to fix me grits with peanut butter and butter. I'm not kidding. They wouldn't be sweet, just a nice creamy, peanut taste.
