A Full Day.

today was a grand day.

i met kim at Posh, which spurred her interest in TOMS shoes, (later on we'll discuss that) and then we went to The Dog for lunch. The Dog is an amazing establishment that sells hotdogs in various ways and side items like chips, fries, or onion rings. It once was over near Briley Pkwy, but has since taken up residence in a cute little house near McDougal's. She got the "Start my diet tomorrow dog" (deep fried, wrapped in bacon and covered in cheese sauce) and I got a beef hot dog on a poppy seed bun with sauteed onions and jalepenos. we each got onion rings. yum.

then we met up with Art, a friend from church to explore the Walden Artisan Market in east nashville. it was small and quaint. we made friends with a guy who makes woodstamps and a purse maker. i ended up buying a gray suede bag with the boston (!!!) skyline sewn on. how neat right?!

after that, Art took us to the place above, The Cocoa Tree. it's an artisan chocolate shop that a friend of his opened up. she has won all sorts of awards in the chocolate world and her truffles are amazing...we had between the three of us: a chili truffle, a margarita truffle, a chai tea truffle, a sweet potato truffle, and a dark chocolate truffle. so yummy. she also does chocolate drinks, and her shop is in germantown, right next door to germantown cafe.

after that, we went back to kim's and picked Laura up to finish our quest for kim's TOMS, which she found at The Perfect Pair. we then we to the flea market, which was sadly closed, and to comfort ourselves had cupcakes from Gigi's Cupcakes and bubble tea from Fat Straw (both new to laura). we came back to my house and chatted and they just left.

a winning day if you ask me.
