i forget sometimes not even how much God loves me, but that He even loves me at all.
I like the reminders.
today was Octoberfest and there were festivals throughout the boston area: Cambridge, Salem, etc.
I took the T to Cambridge and wandered to my heart's content.
there were multiple food vendors: Jamaican, Thai, Indian, Chinese, and of course German.
there were also craftsy people and a Thomas the Tank Engine trolley rolling throughout the crowds....i needed a small child with me to justify going on a ride.
My favorite however was a group of people folkdancing right next to the booth of people selling fresh apple cider, hibiscus coolers, apple crisp a la mode, and pumpkin bread. come to find out, they were members of a Messianic Kibbutz in the city. there are a couple houses with a few families in both. and every friday that have a huge dinner that anyone is invited to join them for.
it was pretty neat. and the apple crisp was yummy.
i then walked around harvard's campus, popped my head in the harvard book store...which is like 200+years old. (i bought a book on music and the brain by Dr.Oliver Saks)......
then i came back and met a friend from undergrad for Indian food.
i think i might go and read the new book i bought....or go and see nick & nora's ultimate playlist.
we'll see. YAY FOR NO WORK TOMORROW!!!
my first advent calendar!
