a saturday for champions

i have just returned from quite a last saturday in beantown.

let me begin with last night. Minerva found a mexican restaurant that was more family style than americanized off of Newbury street, so she, Keiman (another person in the program), and I went to dinner. it was quite good, and not the sort of thing you'd find at taco bell or fiesta azteca, etc. in fact, there weren't a lot of things i recognized on the menu.

it was decorated like a home with really pretty tilework on the walls and mexican music playing. i had chicken enchiladas in mole sauce...yummy.

after a long dinner i went to bed. today Minerva left for CT to visit a friend, so I got ready to wander by myself today.

so....shopping....i guess my good streak ran out. it was all reasonable purchases: dress pants, a couple sweaters, a baby shower gift for felena, and without further ado:
UNDERWEAR.

now this might seem like too much info, but bear/bare(haha) with me.

while in chicago, Danna told me of a store called Intimacy that sizes women for bras. apparently your run of the mill Victoria's Secret or Dept store are not the true sizes for most women...makes sense, b/c they're all made in bulk...at any rate, most women walk around in bras too big too small not flattering etc.

So I decided to rectify this situation. Come to find out, the stores don't even have my size, and i've walked around with the wrong bra for however long i've needed one. Granted, this was not a cheap visit, but worth it. It was like a comfortable corset and totally changes the way i look in a top...sheesh. so they are being altered and will be sent in the mail back to Nash in a couple of weeks.

I wandered around Newbury street and thought about how much fun it would be to a: have more money b: have friends in town to explore it all with.

now that i've bored you with my purchases i'll let you go. it's a night in for me.
