sometimes you FEEL like the ground under your feet is giving way, or that you're going down for the last count and there's nothing you can do about it.
but then from somewhere really deep inside, a resolve wells up and you don't have any other choice but to try to feel better.
i despise self-pity. and my little bouts of giving in frustrate me, but i don't always have the strength to fight it off.
today i just want to thank some kind girls in my medical class for their 1. listening ears 2. encouraging words 3.the truth.
i can't become jaded. i can't give up on my situation or on the truth that there are good men out there. that God knows the timing in my life better than I do. and that he has my best interest in mind.
it's just tough sometimes. when the way world works and the way i do are contradictory, and when people i thought would have better advice about what i'm supposed to do about that don't. i don't have to DO anything differently. I'm me and if someone doesn't see that, it's not my problem. and I would be unwise to let men's insecurities dictate how i respond to them.
so if i can just get my feelings back to normal. and not feel like half of a sandwich cookie, i'd be okay
