true thanksgiving

i haven't been up this late in a while. wow.

so today was a glorious day. i am so thankful!

i got to sleep in, and then i cleaned my room, and ran errands. had lunch with mallory and kim at mcdougal's, ran into my favorite Ryan in the mall.

and then katie and i went to see Bella. it was such a beautiful film. and there were absolutely no offensive things in this film. no profanity. no sex. no violence. no "innuendo."

and it still managed to win the Toronto Film Festival. go and see it. the lead actor and producer (i believe), spoke after the viewing...and he had such a purity about him. He said that he had made a promise to God to proclaim the gospel of life...and to never use his gifts in a way that would offend the Lord, his family, or his culture. ....if only more people saw the world that way.

then i went home and baked a caramel apple cheesecake which was a success at Paul's cd release and thanksgiving potluck. it felt like family. chatting, candles, cider, turkey that wasn't dry. Robin's amazing homemade applesauce and aaron's pecan pie from scratch.

Thank you Lord for the simple things. Thank you for music. Thank you for community. Thank you for all of your gifts.
