i'm so easily satisfied.
just give me a catchy tune and a good bass line. i am incredibly content sitting on my couch working on my power point presentation for neurology. i'm doing it on phantom limb phenomenon.
and listening to new young pony club. well the remix of their song "get lucky" by this brazilian electronic duo known as The Twelves. (they are amazing) they also remixed MIA's "boys".
so good. i heard them both at the buddytown party saturday. and it made me miss djing. and it made me yearn for a night in the city on the lower east side with my leggings and boots on, dancing away until the wee hrs of the morning in some dark room filled with hipster kids and Columbia & nyu undergrads.
new young pony club. marion and i saw them when they were just a locally popular band in London. we saw them on the Queen Mary ship as it sailed down the Thames river. pretty sweet.
and now they are on IPOD commercials and being spun in all sorts of dance clubs and whatnot.
i try to keep up with culture as much as i can while still doing what i'm supposed to be doing. i think i'm managing a relatively good job.

Ok so I've always found the whole phantom limb thing quite fascinating but you know what is even more interesting; the people that are consumed with being an amputee. How utterly sad and strange.
