In answer to Allicus' question: my friends Mary Evelyn and Greg got engaged last week.
we all studied abroad and actually all met for the first time in London. they started dating then, and are probably my second most favorite couple. (you know the pairs that don't make you feel like a 3rd wheel, and go quite well together.....yet you know they really care for each other).
anyway.
my birthday was fabulous.
the weather was gorgeous, just warm enough with a nice breeze. beloved friends who spent pretty much the entire day with me. good food. popsicles. the park. bocci ball. rockband.
stephen and matthew coming after the party was over just to say happy birthday. getting Flight of the Conchords from sam and kelly. (who stopped by on their way to a Sounds' game).
Handmade Stationary from Esh. a Golden ticket and willy wonka shirt from Brock. gift certificates from thoughtful ladies that went toward a dress i've eyed for a while in anthropologie. Joe singing "In Bloom" and Brock singing "Run To The Hills" in honor of my birthday. bubbles. good company and conversation. time well spent.
