the little cracks, they escalated

if you haven't seen the film ONCE, go and see it. it's amazing. and the soundtrack is beautiful.
so raw and heartfelt...and very nicely describes a lot of things in my heart these days.

minus the being in love stuff. hah!

i've been thinking a lot about the revolving door in my life for the last year or so. i find that more and more people are on their way out. my little brother called today, which is quite rare, and he and i were talking about friendship. he's 17 and we was talking about how he is finally okay with only have a few really good friends, and how he was going to keep up with them after his graduation next year.

he said something that struck me...about how he had always felt that he was supposed to have lots of friends, but that he finally understands that a lot of people just move in and out and that is okay.

this is quite true of course. and it's something i'm learning a lot about these days.

most people come and go. most people are acquaintences. few remain. few really are there for the long haul. and a lot of times the ones that are on their way out stick around so long that you don't realize they are just on their way out of the door.

hmm. kind of sad.

but i'm slowly getting the hang of this.
i suppose its better this way.

i've really tried this keeping touch thing, and it doesn't work very well with some people.

so i'm done.

some people, when you are with them, you just "know" they are the ones in for the long haul- others can fool you.
just remember that there is some reason they were there, for however long it may have been, and take comfort in that.
