at the vandy- ole miss game that i went to saturday night, a kid had black and gold paint all over his back....this is not a rarity. BUT what was written on his back was.

PSALM 71.

i found that interesting. in fact, quite a few people found it interesting, including a kid behind me who asked his Catholic girlfriend what that was. she responded with, "it's old testament, we don't read that." (idiot)

but then i realized that i had absolutely no idea what Psalm 71 said....and i felt like an idiot too. not as much as the idiot who claimed that catholics don't read the old testament, but whatever.

all of that to say, GO AND READ IT!

it's especially fitting in the context of competitive sport. ;-)
