well well.
i started off with 60 days of dreaded rotation. now i'm down to 9 days before a not entirely terrible rotation comes to a close.
last night was my last night of night float. it was by far the most eventful. i got no sleep, and introduced 4 new lives to the world.
Baby E wins the largest baby award with a whopping weight of 10 lbs 14 oz.
needless to say, he was a c-section.
this rotation has taught me a lot. you never know what you can get accustomed to, until there is no option but getting accustomed to it. not to mention, anything can become routine. i mean, i still smile when i think about a baby entering the world, but the tears definitely stopped coming.
oh, and i'm nonplussed by pelvic exams, women screaming, and the gyn world in general.
brock, you are right. one day, i'll look back at this stint fondly. and i'll tell all sorts of stories about how i survived.
i would however like to take this time to thank my parents and loved ones back home who prayed for God's grace for me on this rotation. It was and is sufficient.
now if i can stop stalling and 1. start studying for this board. 2. start planning my future.
my first advent calendar!
